Expert Witness
Perry J. DeCuir Jr. C.F.P.E. Perry DeCuir Jr. is a Certified Fluid Power Engineer (C.F.P.E) with experience in litigation related to the fluid power industry. Perry accepts a limited number of Expert Witness assignments each year.
Professional Experience
Prior to the creation of HST Press, Perry held the position of Director Applied Technology with Vickers. Here he lead development of hydraulic and electronic controls for Press, Plastics, Machine Tool and Off Highway markets, and was responsible for hydraulic systems applications worldwide. Earlier, as Director of Press Systems, Perry developed the Vickers press product line for worldwide markets including prefill valves and standard press circuits.
Before Vickers, Perry worked for six years as a Project Engineer for Rexroth Press Systems, specializing in high energy/large press applications.
His depth of experience with forging presses began with his work at Hydro Kinetics, Here we converted water and steam forging presses to a hydraulic system design, including electronic controls. This technology was built for internal use and sale to industrial market hydraulic test stands. Perry lead the team that rebuilt, tested (destructive and non destructive) hydraulic components for steel, forging and US Navy applications.
During this time he also designed, built and operated a hydraulic repair center including a clean room facility.
